THE URBAN YOGA PHOTOS
“Anyone can observe the reality, but succeeding in catching a glimpse of the potential of space is truly visionary.”
“The herald of a novel approach to urbanism and architectural design.”
The UY photos are metaphors for an alternative way of understanding the relationship between the urban environment and our sensuous body. They explore the way our bodies identify and respond to the space around us; while moving through a space we subconsciously measure and mimic the space with all of our senses at once. Subconscious sensory experience is our first means of communicating with the world. It defines most whether we feel good or bad in a certain environment, thus it should be integrated in every design process.
